Received a research productivity grant (Level 1D) from the Brazilian Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), valid from 2024 to 2028. This grant level is given to Brazilian researcher that have consistently published in top international venues for over 10 years, supervised master's and Ph.D. theses, and are recognized as national leaders in Computing research, with a proven ability to secure research funding.

The MS dissertation of Paloma Guenes (under my supervision) received an honorable mention from PUC-Rio's science and technology center. Award received for a co-authored ICSE paper regarding a theory on the identification of design problems in the source code. ICSE is the world's main conference in the field of software engineering. In 40 years of ICSE this was the second time that a paper from Brazil receives such distinction.

Three day long contest to select a new Software Engineering professor for the highly productive Computing Institute of the Fluminense Federal University (UFF). I was happy that, given the amount of factors that may influence the results in such a contests with several phases, everything went well and I got the first place in all criteria (written exam, memorial and research project presentation, didactic exam & production counting).

Invited as scientific program committee chair of the WAMPS workshop, held in Campinas, Brazil.

The experience report, concerning establishing a service-based and agile software development process, received the distinction at the Brazilian Symposium on Software Quality (SBQS) and was selected to have an extended version included in a special issue of the Springer Journal of Software Engineering Research and Development.
